Hey there! It has been quite the year already. Technically 2019 was also quite the year for the Jordan family. Let me tell you about it.
Here is a quick recap of the last 6 months:
September 2019- I gave birth to baby Joseph! He is the most incredible little boy and I can not tell you how much we love him! He is an absolute JOY in our life!

October 2019- Logan got kidney stones 2 and a half weeks after I gave birth to Joseph, so... long story short, we had to go to the ER twice, stay a night in the hospital and Logan eventually had to get the stones surgically removed because they got stuck in the urethra wall. This was a VERY TRAUMATIC experience for me because one... I had to take a newborn into the ER (GERMS!!) with a screaming in pain husband and I had no idea what was wrong at first so I thought he was dying... two, I was very much so overly hormonal due to just having a baby so I was extremely EMOTIONAL! Three, I was torn between being at home with my newborn baby who needed to nurse (my sweet mother in law came to stay with us which was such a BLESSING) or waiting in the hospital with my husband before his surgery, my boobs were literally overflowing with breast milk so I was dying, and I had only slept like two hours in a 72 hour time period so I was in the stages of extreme exhaustion, and the nurses were incredibly rude to me the entire time we were there.

On a more positive note, we were able to go through the temple with Logan's little brother that weekend, and then Logan was able to give Joseph a beautiful blessing with all of our family members there to surround us with love. It made up for all of the trauma that happened the week prior.

Oh and btw, we were on a podcast that my husband's brother and sister-in-law have started called Outpost of Heaven! It is pretty great!
November 2019- At the first of the month I had to get a biopsy on my left Breast due to a lump that I found and it grew. Don't worry it turns out it is non- cancerous tissue! Because of the biopsy and the fact that I was breast feeding, I got an infection in said Breast while we were moving out of our apartment and into a new apartment. Suffice it to say, it was not a fun time. After we moved we pretty much left all of our stuff in boxes at the new place and drove up to Idaho to spend thanksgiving with the Farris Fam Bam. We had so much fun with family, laughing, eating good food, and bowling.

Just a shot of our AMAZING DI bowling outfit finds... take in the beauty of it! hehe

December 2019- We settled into our new apartment just in time to fly down to Louisiana to spend Christmas with the Jordan Fam Bam. We had a ball eating some southern food, going on walks, celebrating the birth of the Savior, and having JJ meet some of Logan's high school buds. I have never spent a Christmas without snow so being in Louisiana in the 60-70 degree weather was kind of nice.

January 2020- We welcomed in the new year by going to bed at 9 pm. (Such is life with a baby, and I don't even mind) My parents found out that my dad got a job up in Washington State. They had to move from their Idaho residence which was very bitter sweet. They lived in Idaho for 20 years of their life and their marriage. Over half their life. Kind of crazy. So we went up to Idaho one last time to help them pack a few things and to say goodbye to their little farm house.

February 2020- I got hit hard by some pretty difficult postpartum depression/ anxiety, so I spent a lot of my time visiting my grandma and learning some new skills like sewing and crocheting to keep myself busy and not think about depressing things. I cherish the time that I have been spending with my grandma because she is quite the amazing lady and has so much insight and wisdom to share. She is the most kind and loving person and I hope that I can be half as good as her when I grow up because she is a literal angel on earth.

My Best friend came up to visit for the weekend with her husband and twin babies. They were born a week before Joseph so we are officially making them best friends. haha

They got a hotel for the night because our apartment was tiny, so we were able to go swimming with the babies for the first time!

March 2020- Well March has been a doosie. The first week of March was Logan's Spring Break, so we headed up to Spokane Washington to visit my sister and her husband and my sweet nieces. We went ax throwing and it turns out I am pretty darn good at it, I hit the bulls eye every time I threw the ax (beginner's luck? I don't know..). They live out on this horse hotel "Equestrian Center" so it was super fun to be out in the middle of no where, it is seriously a dream of mine to live out in the country, and play outside and have so much fun together.

At the end of the week, we spent two days in Kennewick with my mom and dad, and then we drove down to Boise and spent the night at my Grammy's house, and then drove down to Logan the next day. On Monday I started feeling really crappy, and we found out the the COVID-19 virus was up in Washington so we freaked out and got tested for it, turns out all is well and we were negative, but we were quarantined for a couple of days. And here is where all heck broke loose. COVID-19 turned into a world Pandemic, travel bans have been put in place, whole states are in lockdown, and everyone is quarantined and "social distancing". Crap has absolutely hit the fan. Thankfully, I feel like the previous months in 2019 have prepared me mentally, physically, and spiritually for this whole darn thing. I am not freaking out, but I feel peace daily and that is because I am staying close to Christ. We get to have church at home and still receive the sacrament every Sunday. President Russel M. Nelson is a true prophet of God and president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints because he has prepared the Saints for something like this with the new "come follow me curriculum". I am grateful to see God's hand in my life daily.
I implore you to look for the good in every day and do not fear what is happening because it will all be okay and we can get through this!

Look for the good, and cherish each sweet experience of life. It is so much better to live life that way instead of living in fear. Bad things happen, yes, but the good things that happen far outweigh the bad. Heavenly Father has our backs and he will not allow us to experience more trials than we can handle. So, find JOY in daily living! Life is precious, and such a miracle!
