Hello and welcome! I know that I have already written a couple of blog posts already but I thought that I should write a welcome to the blog post to introduce myself, and also my goals for this blog. This is my very first time ever trying to accomplish something big like this, so please bear with me as I try to figure out this whole blog writing thing.

I first would like to introduce myself. My name is Anna Jordan and I am so excited to go on this journey with you all, whoever you are out there.Just a little bit about me; I was born and raised in Boise Idaho in a little town called Kuna. My hobbies include: reading a good book snuggled on the couch, watching movies with my husband, eating and cooking good food, playing piano and violin, singing, crafting and enjoying the great outdoors. I am currently trying my hand at sewing, and the project I am working on at present is a rag quilt for my baby. I decorated his room with a woodland creature theme and found the cutest fabric at Joanne’s that goes perfectly with his bedding and room in general. So far I only have the squares cut out, so I will update you on its progress soon.

I am the middle daughter of three girls. I have an older sister and a younger sister and I am grateful to say that they are my best friends in the whole world! My older sister is married and has two ADORABLE little girls and I just love and adore them to pieces. My younger sister is currently going to school at Dixie State and playing volleyball there. I am very proud of them and like to brag about them all the time, so they will be mentioned here a lot! I met my husband on temple square in Salt Lake City after my little sister and her mission companion set us up on a blind date. It was the first blind date that I actually had a good time and to be honest instantly fell in love with him. We have been married for a year and a half almost and have a very cute very handsome baby boy. He is the first boy grandchild in my family and the first boy in general, but the second grandson on my husband’s side of the family. My husband is the middle of three boys, with an older brother and a younger brother. His older brother is married with two kids; a handsome little boy and an adorable little girl and I love and adore them to pieces as well. His younger brother is currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Philippines. Our parents are proud of all of our current accomplishments and are so supportive as we continue to grow our own little families.

Now that you know a little bit about me, I wanted to get into some of the goals that I have for creating and writing on this blog. I named the blog oh the joys of living because I wanted to share how I find joy in my life, in the ordinary and extraordinary things that happen while living. I want to focus on finding JOY so that I can better spread light and love out into the world.

I would really love to go back to school and get my bachelor’s degree in communications, so that I can learn how to better communicate with others, how to communicate via social media, and just how to get my message out to the world. I first and foremost am a mother, but if I get my degree, I would like to use it eventually to start non- profit organizations and help others in need. This blog is an outlet for me to get my creative juices flowing and to try my hand at writing. I have always loved to write, and want to share what I know with the world.

All in all, I just want to share JOY with the world. It is getting harder and harder to find light and love these days, so if I can be that one beacon of light to someone who needs it, I would be fulfilling my wish. Thank you in advance for your patience as I am learning how to get this thing started and I am so excited for you to follow along my journey to finding JOY in living.
